Player Update News! [2]


It is whit great pleasure that I can announce, that the fundamentals of the player update are done!


What does this mean?

  • This means that I can focus on adding more content to the core gameplay of the game has obviously the player is the center of the gameplay.


What is done?

Numbers of bug/fixes have been corrected!

  1. Shooting will now have a cooldown. (*note: since this is technically a nerf to the player, if no other feature will balance the nerf then I will temporary buff the damage dealt by the player.)
  2. Shooting and reloading at the same time is now fix. (*note: again like mention above there will be a buff if … *ZZZzzzZZzz*)
  3. Added a reload bar ! (*note: thanks to [MadFireOn] UI asset [Simple UI Elements] I was able to add the reload bar therefore if it wasn’t for them then it wouldn’t have a nice UI to show the reload progress. So check them out I will link there stuff at the end.)
  4. Added a damage indicator ! (*note: although it’s in it’s primitive state I still feel like it is well polish enough to by considered “done” as polishing it will just be “fine tuning the direction of the pointer”.)
  5. Created an out of bounce / Checkpoint system. (*note: although it is done I do not think it will be completely implemented in the update, since I plan to redo/rework maps I don’t want to focus currently on making levels although I will more then likely implement the checkpoint since it is very frustrating in final levels to have to walk from the start.)
  6. Fixed some bugs:
    • Reload bug (spam click)
    • Speed related glitch


What is next?

Since things are going better then what add originally plan, I will be able to implement more thing especially new features.

  • Fixes :
  1. Fix the vision glitch that sometimes occurs when looking around. (*note: I realy don’t think a will fix this for know has I will probably remake/ make beter lighting system at one point.)
  2. *make certain object transparent when the player is next to them
  • Add :
  1. * Add bullet spread.
  2. Make the option menu freeze the game. (*note: this appears to be an incredibly time consuming task therefore I will probably do what I do best. Wich is to avoid dealing whit it now until it becomes inevitable that I will need to do something.)
  3. *add armor systems. (*note: this will probably implemented has a way to address the temporary “nerf’ that the player is getting. This will more then likely be one of the things that will probably be coming for the update. Although it will depend on the complexity.)
  4. Add aiming system. (*note: this might be implemented and then remove during the implementation of animation. I currently can’t comment anny futer since I never even touch animation with unity.)
  5. Add a stamina bar.

These are feature that may be implemented. However, all feature who started whit “*” will probably be things that I will be focusing.


Conclusion.

TLDR, things are going faster then expected. Therefore, I can focus on more features.
